Red Venetian Plaster
This was an accent wall done in our own home.
The Plaster was custom mixed to match an existing
paint color. After application the wall was sanded,
burnished and then polished. It is extremely smooth
to the touch and from certain angles the kitchen is
reflected in the finish!
Venetian Plaster (also know as Stucco Veneziano
in Italian) is a technique of layering plaster onto
the walls. The best faux artists use trowels to apply
this material as this gives the best degree of control.
In our own business we only use trowels imported
from Italy. The marble dust in the plaster gives the
glossiness that is seen with the highest quality finishes.
We also finished a tin star to match the wall.

We also decided to use plaster on a tin star that would be placed
on another wall that would echo the accent wall.
